Weapons 2.0 not being worked on for Destiny 2: Shadowkeep

It was confirmed that Destiny 2 would be getting an armor 2.0 system when Shadowkeep launches on the 1st of October which is a big focus for Bungie right now. Many of us are very excited to see an update coming to the armor in Shadowkeep and we can not wait to get our hands on it, especially since it's looking to be shaking up the game in some pretty amazing and positive ways. This got many players of Destiny 2 talking and wondering as to whether or not Bungie may be working on a weapons 2.0 for the release of Shadowkeep as well.

Unfortunately, there will not be a weapons 2.0 release when Shadowkeep drops and the reason for that has been stated by Game director Luke Smith in which he said on the Kinda Funny Games show that the guns in the game were already pretty good meaning there was no need for any kind of overhaul of the weapons in Shadowkeep.

It is true, the weapons do seem to be in a good spot as it stands right now with Destiny 2 and any kind of changes made could potentially break things and make weapons very unstable, leaving them definitely seems like it would be for the best.

This news may be disappointing for those who were hoping for a weapons 2.0. What are your thoughts on there being no weapons 2.0 coming in Shadowkeep?
