Recommended Stream Settings - resolution, frame-rate, bit-rate

Stream Settings Recommendation

Here we provide some common configuration combinations:

(1) High Quality + High action games
Resolution: 1920x1080
Frame-rate: 60 fps
Bit-rate: 6000 to 8000 kbps

(2) High Quality + Slow motion content
Resolution: 1920x1080
Frame-rate: 30 fps
Bit-rate: 6000 kbps

(3) Good Quality + High action games
Resolution: 1280x720
Frame-rate: 60 fps
Bit-rate: 4500 kbps

(4) Good Quality + Slow paced content
Resolution: 1280x720
Frame-rate: 30 fps
Bit-rate: 3000 kbps

(5) Medium Quality + Saves bandwidth
Resolution: 1280x720
Frame-rate: 30 fps
Bit-rate: 2000 kbps

You may stream most video games on 720p, 30fps and whatever bit-rate your internet can handle. Higher resolution(like 1080p) will give your video more sharpness and clarity. If you are playing an high-action game, setting a higher frame-rate (like 60fps) will provide even smoother motion. Keep in mind that going for higher resolution, frame-rate or bit-rate will cost more of your computer and internet upload usage.

2. How does bit-rate affect viewer resolution
(1) Our recommended bit-rate range is between 1000kbps and 10,000kbps. We recommend you set the bit-rate based on both resolution and frame-rate.
(2) Though a higher bit-rate can improve image quality, a higher bit-rate takes up more of your available internet bandwidth.
(3) You can test your upload speed at https://testmy.net/upload, your bit-rate setting shouldn’t use more than 75% of your available upload.

4) The resolution option of the viewer side depends on your bit-rate:
360p: <1000 kbps
480p: 1000 to 2000 kbps
720p: 2000 to 4000 kbps
1080p: 4000 to 6000 kbps
1080p+: 6000 to 10000 kbps

Thank you for this @2TonWaffle :) I was going live with my settings that I had previously set for Glimesh and haven't had any issues yet, fingers crossed but having these to look back on in case of any issues is awesome!
