Launch party for Gears 5 was bigger than Halo 4!

Gears 5 was released on 6th September for early access and released to everyone on Tuesday 10th of September and now stats have come to light which shows that Gears 5 had the biggest launch party known to date, Halo 4 had a pretty big launch party but Gears 5 has managed to surpass that!

Gears 5 has seen over 3 million players since it was released which has been said to have easily doubled the number of players on the first week of Gears of War 4. This has now made Gears 5 have the "biggest launch week of any Xbox Game Studios title this generation." What an absolutely amazing record for Xbox!

Stats were taken from the launch of the Gears 5 early access on September 6th all the way through to this past weekend the 13th-16th September.

Not only did Gears 5 break records for being the biggest launch week of any Xbox Game Studios title but it also set new records as well. First party records were also set on PC, it became the biggest launch on Xbox Game Pass and it was also the best ever first-party launch on Steam for Microsoft. That is a lot of records broken in just over a week!

With Gears 5 becoming available to all those who were Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers it was made easy for many gamers to get their hands on Gears 5 with early access for only a small price per month, this definitely seems to have helped the game hit and break the record it did.

Xbox Game Pass makes gaming more affordable for those who are not lucky enough to be able to buy the new releases when they come out, it gives them the chance to play the games everyone else is playing at the same time for one small monthly fee. We can only hope that we see more big titles coming to Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate which gives you access to games on the PC for a small fee a month, by these stats they would definitely be crazy to not attempt to break more records!
