I recently noticed that there are countries where some social media platforms are not allowed for us, maybe because of one reason or another. In your country, it is possible to access all social platforms, or are some of them banned there?

I don't use any main stream social media. But if needed, a VPN could help unlock regional sites....

Tiktok isn’t banned in my country yet, but I’ve been hearing that they’re trying to pass a law to ban it. I’m not sure when or if they’ll ban it.

Why?

TikTok isn't banned here in my country, the Philippines. I think right now, many users are enjoying the Live feature and the gifts which can be exchanged to PayPal cash.

Tiktok is not banned in my country. It's one of the most liked apps by the young people in my country.

I live in England, UK and TikTok has not been banned in my country and I have not heard anything about it being banned if I am honest.

I do know some countries do have it banned which is a shame.

TikTok has not been banned in my country, but there was a time some government officials wanted the streaming network to be banned. According to them it was a source of distraction to the young adults, especially due to most of the trends or challenges they bring up almost on a monthly basis.

Nope, I don't think any social media platforms is banned now In my country. But last 3 years Nigerians were banned from using Twitter.

As far as I know, no social network is currently blocked in my country, at least from the known ones, but I know that there are plans to ban TikTok, because it poses a threat to national security. I've never used it, but I don't think it's that dangerous

Tiktok is still in use in my country though there was a motion on the parliament presented to ban the tiktok app in the country some months ago.

There are some obvious reasons that some countries opt to go that route but the fact that we are in the 21st century then promoting diverse views and freedom of free speech should be something that we should campaign for. That means every well-meaning person should promote free speech and diverse views.

As for my country, TikTok is allowed to operate although there are some limited features that I cannot access on the app. Such as earning directly from TikTok.

Tiktok is still working in Nigeria. But last three years, Nigeria government placed ban on Twitter. Even till now, i don't know whether the ban was lifted. Nigerian use vpn then to access their Twitter account. Nigeria government is not all that strict with social media platforms.

I don't even use Tiktok. And only Youtube for the music. Besides that, I tend to avoid mainstream social media.

I use it to watch funny videos. I be bored a lot. I use youtube and Spotify for music too.

I don’t think they’re using it for spying. Biden has an account his damn self.

Biden knows how to use a computer/smartphone??

I don't get bored too often. I'm always tinkering with this or that, or playing computer games. hehe
