Cross-Progression and cross-save active in Call of Duty Modern Warfare?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare's Beta is active this weekend with those who have early access able to play two days earlier than those who are only eligible for the open beta which starts on Saturday 21st September. As we know, cross-play is enabled for this beta this weekend which enables players to be able to play with their friends regardless of whether they are on PC, Xbox One or PS4.

Cross-play, however, is completely different to cross-progression and cross-save, with cross-progression and cross-save this allows a player of a game to be able to take saves of the game over with them between different platforms so, for example, you can play the campaign on Xbox One and save and continue where you left off on PC without any issues.

This was not announced as going to be activated this weekend for the beta but it would seem that it is active, the last we heard from Infinity Ward was that they would be looking into activating cross-progression and cross-save, could this be them testing that feature this weekend but not announcing it? If this is the case, we may be seeing these two abilities coming to the full game when it is launched on October 25th.
