Activision has apparently severed ties with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 Ghost Voice Actor Jeff Leech for comments he made on one of his livestreams from back in December of 2020 towards a female streamer in his chat. The streamer in question was apparently toxic towards Leech first and Leech simply responded with more toxicity that the community is seeing as sexist & misogynistic according to twitter. These statements apparently go back to 2020.
Activision issued a statement to Call of Duty fan site CharlieIntel with the following about cutting ties with Leech and condemning his remarks:
“Sexism has no place in our industry, our games or in society,” Activision says in a new statement. “Activision is no longer working with Jeff Leach. We strongly condemn these remarks. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe experience for all players.”
Activision has not stated what this means for the future of Ghost in the upcoming Modern Warfare 2019 sequel or Leech's current iteration of the operator in Modern Warfare 2019 or Warzone.
