Many of us may have grown up playing the Playstation right from the very first Playstation until the latest console released by Sony which is the Playstation 4. As all Playstation gamers know, the buttons on a Playstation controller are X, circle, square and triangle or at least that is how many people say each button when they give advice on which button to press when playing a game and 81% of people who voted on what they would call the button X said they would say it as the letter.
Playstation has today come forward and shocked many Playstation users by saying that they have been calling the X button the wrong name for years. Surely not, right? I mean it's an X? Not according to the makers of the Playstation, Sony.
If you have been calling it the X button for years, you are wrong in doing so as the name for that button is in fact cross and not X!
With so many people saying it wrong for so long, will it be easy to just switch from saying X to saying cross? I know for sure I...
It was confirmed that Destiny 2 would be getting an armor 2.0 system when Shadowkeep launches on the 1st of October which is a big focus for Bungie right now. Many of us are very excited to see an update coming to the armor in Shadowkeep and we can not wait to get our hands on it, especially since it's looking to be shaking up the game in some pretty amazing and positive ways. This got many players of Destiny 2 talking and wondering as to whether or not Bungie may be working on a weapons 2.0 for the release of Shadowkeep as well.
Unfortunately, there will not be a weapons 2.0 release when Shadowkeep drops and the reason for that has been stated by Game director Luke Smith in which he said on the Kinda Funny Games show that the guns in the game were already pretty good meaning there was no need for any kind of overhaul of the weapons in Shadowkeep.
It is true, the weapons do seem to be in a good spot as it stands right now with Destiny 2 and any kind of changes made could...
If you are a player of Destiny 2, you will know that a few weeks ago Bungie announced they were going to be doing a community event that would get buffed if players completed all the challenges within a week! True to their word, they did launch a community event for their players last week.
The community event gave players a whole week to kill a whole lot of Hive on Mars and by doing this, they would earn exclusive cosmetics. Players definitely did just as Bungie wanted them to do for this community event, they killed a whole lot of Hive on Mars, completed the challenges and Bungie did exactly what they said they would do, they buffed the Menagerie loot over the weekend which meant additional rewards will now be granted from its final chest every run and this buff will stay until Shadowkeep is released on October 1st.
It definitely seems as though players had a lot of fun completing the challenges that were set out for them by Bungie for this community event, could this mean that...
If you are a gamer the one thing you will always be looking out for is new ways to play games. On September 19th, 2019 Apple will be releasing their very own Arcade game subscription service which will cost $4.99 a month! Not only that but you will also be able to use your Xbox One and Playstation 4 controllers with the Arcade as it will support these devices on launch, how amazing is that!
What will the game subscription service allow me to do though many will ask? If you are the owner of an iPhone, iPad, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or Apple TV you will be able to play games across all of these devices for that one low monthly price.
Much like other services such as Google's Stadia, Apple's game subscription service will not be streaming games to your devices, instead, you will be able to download the games to your device and play them once they are downloaded. That means whether you have an online connection or not, you will always be able to play your games.
Microsoft is always striving to improve their latest console, the Xbox One and they have now announced more improvements coming to their Xbox One console with these improvements first coming to Xbox Insider members and then eventually coming to all Xbox One owners. What are these improvements though and will they be useful?
Wish list alerts will be coming to the Xbox One which will announce to the user when there is a price drop for an item on their list, this is amazing and definitely useful, especially if you use the wish list feature a lot and tend to miss when there are offers on the games you are looking to grab.
Mixer will also be integrating further into the Xbox One as well and will give users a new Mixer viewing experience which will be built right into the dashboard and will be a lot more simple and speedy. What will this mean for those of us who do use Mixer on the Xbox? What that will mean is you will no longer have to switch to another app to watch your favorite...
Playstation 4 exclusive games are now going to start looking a little different with a change made by Sony. It would seem that Sony wanted a way for their exclusive games to look a little more unique and be something they could be proud of.
Each game in the Only on Playstation collection will contain different artwork, this is definitely something that is a game collectors dream!
These games can be purchased from GAME in the UK
The question on every gamers mind though is, will they all be the same price and will pre-orders have the collectible artwork? The answer to that is no, pre-orders will not guarantee you the collectible artwork and all the games will have a different price, the artwork will also only be available whilst stocks last so you do have to be quick if you want these to add to a collection!
So far only 10 games have been announced as to having the collectible artwork all of which are of course Playstation Exclusives and these can be seen listed below
Earlier today Sony officially revealed the Playstation 5. The PS5 is slated for a Holiday 2020 release. The Playstation 5 is said to have a new technology in it's controller and Sony says "don't call it a Dualshock 5" at least not yet........here is a quote from the official playstation blog:
To that end, there are two key innovations with the PlayStation 5’s new controller. First, we’re adopting haptic feedback to replace the “rumble” technology found in controllers since the 5th generation of consoles. With haptics, you truly feel a broader range of feedback, so crashing into a wall in a race car feels much different than making a tackle on the football field. You can even get a sense for a variety of textures when running through fields of grass or plodding through mud.
The second innovation is something we call adaptive triggers, which have been incorporated into the trigger buttons (L2/R2). Developers can program the resistance of the triggers so that you feel the...
The developers of The Last of Us Part 2, Naughty Dogg, held an interview and discuss the game, new mechanics, new enemies, and some story plot points. Insiders got to play two demos of the game at different points within the game and they discuss this. They go on to discuss the changes they've made to gameplay and the overall universe of the game. It seems like it's shaping up to be a fantastic sequel and it's visually stunning from what we've seen. You can watch the interview below:
They discuss an upgraded upgrade/crafting system, new enemies, new friends and more. The last of Us part 2 comes out February 21st, 2020 exclusively to the Playstation 4.
As a streamer, it can be difficult to gain a following or for people to find and watch you. So how do you get out there in the giant sea of content creators and stand out? Here are some do's and don'ts on how to grow your following and become a successful streamer:
1) Follow 4 Follow does NOT work. Do not do this..
2) Have a easy to remember username. Avoid numbers, dashes or other special characters in your usernmae. Saying that...... KISS (Keep it simple, stupid!) and try to keep your username unified across all major social platforms you're a part of if you can help it.
The Mafia series is beloved by it's fans. Games full of action, explosions, and criminal activity. The original and it's sequel were great games, but they came out many years ago, 2002 and 2011 respectively. It's been seen that the trademarks for Mafia and Mafia 2 have been renewed, which can be searched up for yourself using the following The trademark links expire, but you can search for them by name or the serial numbers: 88564619, 88564555 and 88564671. It seems like Take Two Interactive is planning on releasing remasters for Mafia and Mafia 2, but will they be for current generation consoles? Or will they wait for next generation since that's right around the corner? Hopefully we'll hear more soon. Are you interested in Mafia and Mafia 2 getting the remaster treatment? Last week, the studio head at Treyarch Studios was forced to resign after a series of tweets were posted. David Vonderhaar was asked by 'someone he respects' to step down as lead studio head of Treyarch. Vonderhaar or "Vahn" as he's known in the Call of Duty community has stated that he will no longer have anything to do with the Call of Duty franchise going forward, leading people to speculate that the studio head was fired by Activision. The tweets were since deleted and Vahn's account was deactivated for a short period of time after the tweets were made, but reactivated with the tweets deleted and now David Vonderhaar has no traces of Call of Duty on his twitter profile.
It's sad to see that we live in a time where anything political posted on social media can make a man lose his job. You will be missed and your absence will certainly be felt at Treyarch with the next Treyarch Call of Duty title coming next year in 2020.
Good luck in yourfuture endeavors and god speed, Vondy.
Many Fortnite players may now be jumping for joy and getting back into enjoying Fortnite like they used to! Just last night, Epic Games announced that they have finally nerfed the mechs making it much more fair for all.
What does this mean for those who use the mechs and those who don't? For those who use the mechs they will now see less rockets being fired at a time and you will notice how they are not as powerful as they were before when hitting enemy players. If you are using the mech you will also notice that you can now no longer pick up materials when stomping and dashing. One thing many mech users may be pleased to hear is that, the health for a mech has now been increased from 1000 to 1250! Sounds fair? It definitely seems that way with the Fortnite community already talking about how much better the changes are.
Time will tell as to whether or not these changes will keep the community permanently happy, hearing that they are happy so far though especially this close to a...
