Xbox has announced a friend referral program for Game Pass, however, there's a catch, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members give up to five friends a free 14-day PC Game Pass trial. Invited friends must be new to Game Pass to redeem the free trial. The invited user must have never had game pass prior to accepting the invitation to join Game Pass. In our opinion, this makes sense, however, we can't help but feel like this is something Xbox should have had going not long after the launch of game pass. The people who are on game pass now or most xbox/PC gamers have probably had game pass at some point in the past. It's hard to say who this would benefit at this point in time, but it's cool they're doing this nontheless. Some users have noticed just a few days ago that Blockbuster's website, www.blockbuster.com has come back online since becoming defunct in 2014 with the closure of most of it's stores all except one remaining in Bend OR. The Dish network currently owns the most rights to the blockbuster name, but with the website coming back online, that leaves the question. Are they planning on making a comeback? There is no shortage of "Pro" style controllers for gamers these days. Asus has decided to throw their hat into the ring with their new Raikiri Pro for the Xbox line of consoles. This new Pro-style controller dubbed the "Raikiri Pro" is officially licensed by Microsoft and sports a 1.3" OLED screen for various functions such as Microphone status, battery life and more. The Raikiri Pro sports "Tri-Connectivity" and it's the first officially licensed xbox controller to do so allowing players to connect to devices via Bluetooth, low-latency 2.4GHz , or USB-C. respectively. This is useful for using the controller on the PC, xbox, smartphone or even a smart TV with Xbox Game Pass. The controller also features a ESS DAC, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a mute button you'd come to expect for an xbox controller. Google has officially confirmed that Stadia is coming to an end. You can expect it to close January 18th, 2023.

Google plans to issue refunds to anyone who purchased any Stadia hardware through the Google Store alongside games and addons. The refunds will be expected to be issued come mid January. You can check out their Stadia FAQ by visiting this link

The PlayStation 5 will be getting even more pricey in select markets due to continued inflation and other global economic troubles.

Today on the Playstation blog, Sony announced PS5's price for all editions are going up in Europe, the UK, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Canada. The USA seems to be the only market not getting hit with price increases.

Sony just unveiled the Dualsense Edge. Sony's take on a pro-style controller akin to Microsoft's Elite Series controllers. The dualsense edge appears to have customizable analog sticks, back paddles and triggers. This is what we know so far:

● Ultra-customizable controls: You can make the DualSense Edge wireless controller uniquely yours by remapping or deactivating specific button inputs and fine-tuning your aim by adjusting stick sensitivity and dead zones (the distance your analog stick moves before it’s recognized in a game). In addition, each trigger is adjustable with options to tailor travel distance and dead zones to your preference. For example, you can manually reduce travel distance of the triggers for faster inputs in competitive FPS games or reduce the dead zone for precise throttle control in racing games.

Elon Musk has finalized his bid to purchase Twitter today and Twitter has accepted his offer. He is now the sole owner of Twitter Inc. Musk has purchased Twitter under the guise of protecting Free Speech. We will have to wait and see what happens going forward but people seem to be torn about this acquisition. Revillution has never been a political website, nor will it ever be, but it does seem people on one particular side of the political aisle are very unhappy about Elon buying Twitter and taking it 'private'. We will just have to wait and see what happens. Could we see the unbanning of certain figures in the future? Could we potentially see new features people have been asking for, such as an edit button? It would seem that Discord, Apple and Facebook have all accidentally given user data over to hackers who were posing as law enforcement. The demands were forged to look genuine and they reportedly came from authentic email accounts. Facebook and Apple are said to have handed over basic details such as address, phone number and IP Address where Discord was said to have handed over the internet address history of Discord accounts tied to a specific phone number

Snapchat was also targeted by the hackers but it is unknown if they handed anything over that was requested at this time.

Twitch is currently sorting out a deal with the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) to come to an agreement or licensing deal for streamers so that they are no longer hit with DMCA strikes on their content. So what does this mean for streamers on Twitch if this deal manages to be inked and go through? Sony's PS5 conference has just wrapped up and with it we got some game previews and a price & release date for Sony's next generation offerings.

The Playstation 5 will be available on sale starting November 12th for US, Canada, UK and November 19th for the rest of the world. Digital only edition will cost $399 and the full physical edition will be $499. So it looks like Microsoft's Series S will be the cheapest entry into next generation at just $299.

The XBox Series X and rumored Xbox Series S are set to release later this year. However, nothing was mentioned until now. According to Windows Central, a reputable source for Microsoft related leaks, the Xbox Series S, which is a disc-less, all-digital console will be coming out at $299 while the more powerful, beefier hardware & larger form factor Xbox Series X will be launching at $499. Both consoles are set to go on sale worldwide on November 10th, 2020.
