Sega reveals new games in legacy IP's are currently in development!

During The Game Awards show last night, Sega dropped a teaser trailer outlining that they have games from their old IP catalogue all in deveolpment right now. The games series mentioned were:
Jet Grind/Set Radio
Crazy Taxi
Shinobi
Streets of Rage
Golden Axe.

They ended it with "And more." We aren't sure what "More" means but we're super excited for new entries from these classic games. Personally, I'm excited for the last 3 entries listed. I do love me some Crazy Taxi though. I just hope they get licensing sorted so we can have a banger soundtrack like the offspring from the original game.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for this announcement? Are you a Sega fan? Personally, I'd love to see them reveal a new console but that is a pipedream that just won't come true I'm sure.

Here is the trailer for you to see for yourself:

Sony raises prices for PS Plus memberships across the board.

A few days ago Sony had announced that they will be increasing the prices of their Playstation Plus memberships across the board. This change is very controversial and has a lot of people upset, especially PS Plus Premium holders (like myself) who haven't seen too many 'classics' put on the service to justify the $120 price tag, much less the new $160 price tag.

Here are the new prices for PlayStation Plus 12-month subscription plans.

PlayStation Plus Essential 12-Month Subscription
79.99 USD | 71,99 Euro | 59.99 GBP | 6,800 Yen

PlayStation Plus Extra 12-Month Subscription
134.99 USD | 125,99 Euro | 99.99 GBP | 11,700 Yen

PlayStation Plus Premium 12-Month Subscription
159.99 USD | 151,99 Euro | 119.99 GBP | 13,900 Yen

The new prices for the 12-Month subscription will remain at a discounted rate when compared to purchasing the 1-Month or 3-Month subscriptions over a 12-month period.

For current 12-month subscribers, this price increase will not take...

Lollipop Chainsaw was a hack-n-slash game by Suda51 revolving around a teenage girl named Juliet Sterling, a cheerleader who is also part of a family of zombie hunters.. A quirky game originally released on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on 2012 by Suda51. A remake is in the works by Dragami Games slated for a summer 2024 release under the name of Lollipop Chainsaw: RePop.

n a press release, Dragami Games stated that while the team’s intention was to aim for a 2023 release for RePOP, “our commitment to providing the best possible quality experience to our players led us to making the hard decision to extend the development period in order to ensure this. We sincerely apologize to all who had been waiting for the latest installment in the Lollipop Chainsaw series, and kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.”

Unfortunately, it's not all good news, according to sources Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is currently being developed without the involvement of James...

Xbox announces refer-a-friend program for Game Pass.

Xbox has announced a friend referral program for Game Pass, however, there's a catch, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass members give up to five friends a free 14-day PC Game Pass trial. Invited friends must be new to Game Pass to redeem the free trial. The invited user must have never had game pass prior to accepting the invitation to join Game Pass. In our opinion, this makes sense, however, we can't help but feel like this is something Xbox should have had going not long after the launch of game pass. The people who are on game pass now or most xbox/PC gamers have probably had game pass at some point in the past. It's hard to say who this would benefit at this point in time, but it's cool they're doing this nontheless. Each free trial/referred friend will get all the perks of Game Pass Ultimate it seems, so they can enjoy it on both console & PC. As per xbox.com - for new...

Blockbuster Video teases huge comeback amongst website coming back online with cryptic messaging.

Some users have noticed just a few days ago that Blockbuster's website, www.blockbuster.com has come back online since becoming defunct in 2014 with the closure of most of it's stores all except one remaining in Bend OR. The Dish network currently owns the most rights to the blockbuster name, but with the website coming back online, that leaves the question. Are they planning on making a comeback? Do you think Blockbuster would survive today as it was back then? Would you like to see it be a streaming service or a proper walk-in video rental store? Do you have any fond memories of Blockbuster Video back in the day?? Do you think there will be a resurgence in video rental stores? Sound off in the comemnts below and let's discuss!

Call of Duty 2023 is happening - Campaign, MP, Developer, everything we know so far.
  • 1,039

Call of Duty has been a yearly release since 2006, much like Madden, NHL and other sports titles. Over the years it's had it's ups and downs with it's games, some were big hits, others were bad misses, the past 4 or so years have been a mixed bag for Call of Duty, with the introduction of Warzone, traditional 6 versus 6 multiplayer has taken a serious hit in quality. However, this year was supposed to be the first of a 2 year cycle where the developers would focus on their game for a full 2 years. However, it now seems that Activision has decided to scrap that idea and instead of releasing a full year of content in 2023 for Modern Warfare II, the current active title in the series, it appears they have already abandoned it in favor of working on the next premium title for 2023. Call of Duty 2023 is set to be developed by Sledgehammer Games, the developer who last gave us Call of Duty Vanguard. One of the worst selling games in the franchise, which released in a mess of a...

There is no shortage of "Pro" style controllers for gamers these days. Asus has decided to throw their hat into the ring with their new Raikiri Pro for the Xbox line of consoles. This new Pro-style controller dubbed the "Raikiri Pro" is officially licensed by Microsoft and sports a 1.3" OLED screen for various functions such as Microphone status, battery life and more. The Raikiri Pro sports "Tri-Connectivity" and it's the first officially licensed xbox controller to do so allowing players to connect to devices via Bluetooth, low-latency 2.4GHz , or USB-C. respectively. This is useful for using the controller on the PC, xbox, smartphone or even a smart TV with Xbox Game Pass. The controller also features a ESS DAC, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a mute button you'd come to expect for an xbox controller. Of course it sports all features you would expect from a "Pro" controller, including remappable buttons, adjusting joystick sensitivity and dead zones, and different trigger...

Sony reveals Dualsense Edge - Their take on a pro-style controller for PS5.

Sony just unveiled the Dualsense Edge. Sony's take on a pro-style controller akin to Microsoft's Elite Series controllers. The dualsense edge appears to have customizable analog sticks, back paddles and triggers. This is what we know so far:

Ultra-customizable controls: You can make the DualSense Edge wireless controller uniquely yours by remapping or deactivating specific button inputs and fine-tuning your aim by adjusting stick sensitivity and dead zones (the distance your analog stick moves before it’s recognized in a game). In addition, each trigger is adjustable with options to tailor travel distance and dead zones to your preference. For example, you can manually reduce travel distance of the triggers for faster inputs in competitive FPS games or reduce the dead zone for precise throttle control in racing games.

Elon Musk now owns Twitter. The internet is exploding over it.

Elon Musk has finalized his bid to purchase Twitter today and Twitter has accepted his offer. He is now the sole owner of Twitter Inc. Musk has purchased Twitter under the guise of protecting Free Speech. We will have to wait and see what happens going forward but people seem to be torn about this acquisition. Revillution has never been a political website, nor will it ever be, but it does seem people on one particular side of the political aisle are very unhappy about Elon buying Twitter and taking it 'private'. We will just have to wait and see what happens. Could we see the unbanning of certain figures in the future? Could we potentially see new features people have been asking for, such as an edit button? What would you like to see from the social media platform going forward?

What do you think of Elon Musk buying Twitter for 43 Billion in cash?

Twitch working on new music deal to end DMCA strikes for streamers.
  • 1,371

Twitch is currently sorting out a deal with the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) to come to an agreement or licensing deal for streamers so that they are no longer hit with DMCA strikes on their content. So what does this mean for streamers on Twitch if this deal manages to be inked and go through? Well it would appear that streamers will be able to play the music of their choice without the worry of being hit with a copyright strike or DMCA claim within reason. The closure of Mixer last July has caused Twitch's platform to boom in popularity, as a perfect storm of a global pandemic and the closure of Mixer by Microsoft, forced content creators to funnel onto the platform. However, many Mixer streamers often played copyright music on stream using featurees on their bots such as Song Requests which allowed their viewers to request a song of their choice to play in the background of the stream. However, within the past year many streamers now on Twitch have...

3 classic Grand Theft Auto remasters reportedly being developed by Take-Two
  • 1,453

For years fans of the believed "PS2 Trilogy" of Grand Theft Auto titles have been begging for remakes or remasters of these classics for modern consoles with modern quality of life improvements. Fans have been attempting this on their own for years now but now it seems Take-Two is stepping in and shutting down these fanmade remaster projects which has stirred up questions and discussions that perhaps Take Two/Rockstar Games may be making their own remasters for these games.

It could be that Take Two is just trying to protect their IP's but it seems a bit odd with the timing. It's known that Grand Theft Auto 6 won't be releasing any time soon and it's been nearly 10 years since we've got a new Grand Theft Auto title. It's a bit of a drought for Rockstar to not release anything this long.

A recent re-release from the company was the Mafia: Definitive Edition...

New OLED Nintendo Switch coming Oct 8th, 2021.
  • 1,808
  • 2
Just a short while ago Nintendo revealed the newest model in the Switch family of consoles. This new model supports just a handful of upgrades and quality-of-life improvements. However, many gamers are disappointed that this isn't the rumored "Pro" model they were expecting. Saying that, what exactly is new with this new Switch model? Well, we have you covered.

The new Switch model sports a 7.0" OLED screen, the largest of any current switch model you can purchase. Better audio, now with Stereo. A much improved kickstand that seems to be much more sturdy and reliable than the outgoing switch model. Double the internal storage up from 32GB to 64GB and the inclusion of an ethernet port on the docking station.

Aside from that, it appears there are no other upgrades to this new OLED model Switch. Gamers were hoping for improvements to graphic fidelity and possibly a bump in resolution in dock-mode up to 4K. This doesn't have those improvements, however. Here is a chart of the...

Activision cuts ties with Ghost MW 2019 Voice Actor Jeff Leech after comments resurface.

Activision has apparently severed ties with Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 Ghost Voice Actor Jeff Leech for comments he made on one of his livestreams from back in December of 2020 towards a female streamer in his chat. The streamer in question was apparently toxic towards Leech first and Leech simply responded with more toxicity that the community is seeing as sexist & misogynistic according to twitter. These statements apparently go back to 2020.

Activision issued a statement to Call of Duty fan site CharlieIntel with the following about cutting ties with Leech and condemning his remarks:

Sexism has no place in our industry, our games or in society,” Activision says in a new statement. “Activision is no longer working with Jeff Leach. We strongly condemn these remarks. We are committed to delivering a fun and safe experience for all players.”

Activision has not stated what this means for the future of Ghost in the upcoming Modern Warfare 2019 sequel or Leech's...

Sony to continue to support PS3 & PS Vita storefronts
  • 1,378

A few weeks ago, we learned that Sony was aiming to close the storefronts of PS3, PSP and PS Vita which would prevent users who wish to continue to use and purchase games digitally on these platforms the inability to do so. Well, the community cried out pretty loudly about this and it seems that Sony is backtracking on their decision. Well, part of it. Here is what they said in a blog post:

Upon further reflection, however, it’s clear that we made the wrong decision here. So today I’m happy to say that we will be keeping the PlayStation Store operational for PS3 and PS Vita devices. PSP commerce functionality will retire on July 2, 2021 as planned.

When we initially came to the decision to end purchasing support for PS3 and PS Vita, it was born out of a number of factors, including commerce support challenges for older devices and the ability for us to focus more of our resources on newer devices where a majority of our gamers are playing on. We see now that many of you...
